Thinking of God…

Why should I be anxious?

It is not up to me to think of myself.

It is up to me to think of God.

And it is up to God to think of me.

– Simone Weil  1909-1943

  • Light a candle to remember Christ’s presence with you.
  • Sit five to fifteen minutes in silent meditation paying attention to the deep breath.
  • This Sunday, set aside for worship, think of God.
  • Let go of any thoughts that make you anxious or keep you from being in God’s presence.
  • Do all you do today for the glory of God.
  • Your plans don’t need to change.
  • Do all you do today for the glory of God.
  • As you sit in silent meditation, open yourself to be available to the glory of God.
  • Notice, however, if your plans do change (because your focus is for the glory of God as you move toward the cross.)
  • What is God’s message for you?
  • How will you live for the glory of God tomorrow?
  • Give thanks to God for this time at the cross and for any new insights you have received.
  • Share as you feel led in the reply box below.
