¹Unless the LORD builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the LORD guards the city,
the guard keeps watch in vain.
²It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives sleep to his beloved.
³Sons are indeed a heritage from the LORD,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
⁴Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the sons of one’s youth.
⁵Happy is the man who has
his quiver full of them.
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

• Light a candle to remember Christ’s presence with you.
• Sit five to fifteen minutes in silent meditation paying close attention to the deep breath.
• As you pay attention to the breath opening you and freeing you, notice which room of the house you desire.
• How is God building this room for you?
• Are there repairs that need to be made in this room?
• What anxiety can God take away for you?
• What rest do you need?
• How does God guard this room for you?
• How does God feed and nurture you in this room?
• Is there another room God is preparing for you?
• What is God’s message for you?
• Give thanks to God for this time in prayer and for any new insights you have received.
